I had my thermostat replaced with a newer digitial one by this company. After 2 electric bills that were double what they normally are I called them back. It took 5 visits within two weeks for him to discover that he had originally mis-wired the thermostat, but that's not the end. I have now discovered that the heat strip runs at the same time the A/C is running causing the house not to cool. He had placed a makeshift copper jumper wire between Y and W on the thermostat to get the outside fan to run while in heat mode. After removing the copper wire the A/C functions normally again but the fan still does not come on when in Heat mode causing my heat strip to run continually. All in all, he charged me 400 dollars and I spent an extra 250 in electric bills all because of the mis-wired thermostat and it's still not right so now I have to call someone else.
